Ain’t No Thing Like a Date in Spring
March 7, 2017 | by Bri
With this new season, blooming like the beautiful flowers it brings, new date ideas should be on your radar (if they aren’t already). During winter, maybe you and your S/O got cute and cuddly in front of the fireplace. But now that it’s springtime! What’s there to do? Oh, let me tell you… plenty!
Ahoy there, Crateys! I hope you all are doing well! I don’t know about you, but I am definitely loving this wonderful season of spring! Don’t you love this time of year? The weather is amazing, flowers are a blooming and everything we could ever want to buy for our winter wardrobe is an additional 50% off of the already marked clearance price! I think we can all agree that springtime is just an all-around great time of the year; arguably the best. Here are a few spring date ideas that will surely let your love bloom!
Two words: Get Outside!
Time to get out and get moving! Get up, up, up! It’s time to get out and enjoy this beautiful place called earth! Take a bike ride down to your local farmer’s’ market, hike along a beautiful scenic trail, take a road trip, plant some beautiful flowers or go sailing! Don’t let this beautiful weather pass you by! Enjoy it!
The best thing about spring is the weather, so find a few lunchtime recipes you and your partner have always wanted to try, pack them up, and head out to a local park for a picnic! Take this opportunity to snap a few photos, stare at the clouds, and enjoy some time outdoors with your significant other!
Spring Cleaning (Yes, This Can Be a Date)!
Been needing to organize your closet, or paint that piece of unfinished furniture? Springtime is the perfect time to do it! You know, that saying, “spring cleaning?” It just sounds right and, “winter cleaning,” just doesn’t. Wait, I know what you’re thinking, how can cleaning be fun? Easy! Do it together! Make a date out of it! Order some takeout, put on some tunes and hop to it! These around-the-house projects can be really enjoyable, especially while doing them together! Or, if you don’t have any cleaning or unfinished furniture projects to tackle, why not organize your place a bit? Revamp your pad, freshen your place up a bit! Reorganize the furniture, buy that portrait you’ve been eyeing at Ross, or better yet, get pictures taken and decorate your place with them! There’s nothing like a clean and newly-organized/decorated palace!
Outdoor Movie Night!
Here’s one last idea that is so fun, you’d think it was from a movie or something! Have a backyard movie screening of some of your favorite films! You really get the best of both worlds with this date: getting to enjoy the beautiful spring weather all while being in the comfort of your home. Get a movie projector for your phone (many are under $100), order some flicks, stack on the snacks and bring the blankets! Don’t forget the popcorn! To finish the night off, gaze at the stars! I hear they’re lovely this time of year!
